Fundamentals of Trapping:

Fundamentals of Trapping is an excellent starting point for anyone who wants to learn the dynamic & lighting fast concepts found in such arts as classical Wing Chun and Bruce Lee's personal art of Jun Fan Gung Fu.  This course is a must for any Jeet Kune Do practitioner, but also holds great value for beginners & veterans martial artists of every style.

Trapping Phase 1:

Basic Compound Trapping

Are you ready to dive deeper into the details & concepts of Compound Trapping?  Everything in Trapping Phase-1 is built directly upon the material in our Fundamentals course, for an easy-to-follow smooth transition into more advanced ideas.  Explore new combinations, follow up attacks, range, reference points, angles and timing.

Trapping Phase 2:

Counter Trapping

Trapping Phase-2 is all about Counter Trapping!  Building off the concepts taught in the previous courses, you will learn several methods for stopping & defending against common trapping  attacks, such as the Single Pak Series, the Double Pak Series, and the Pak-Lop Series.  Your reflex and speed are sure to increase as you progress through the lessons in this course!

Trapping Phase 3:

The Jao Sao Series

In this Phase you'll learn to use Jao-Sao, also known as “the running hand,”.  This concept is fast, deceptive, and a foundational component of Trapping arts such as Wing Chun, Jun Fan Gung Fu, and multiple branches of Jeet Kune Do.  Sifu Bruce Lee initially would not teach the Jao-Sao in public classes, only sharing it with his long-time close personal students due to its practical and deceptive nature.

Trapping Phase 4:

Trapping to Clinch

In this phase we move past the concept of using trapping just for striking, and show you how to connect it to your clinching skills. Building on the fundamental techniques & combinations taught in the previous courses, Phase-4 will teach you how to connect to such clinch positions as the neck control and body locks from your direct attacks, as well as off your opponent's trapping counters.
